Summer in Charlestown

There’s lots to see and do in Charlestown this summer. The historic Georgian harbour is now accessible to the public, with tours of the Kasjamoor tall ship available. You can learn more about maritime history at the Shipwreck and Heritage Centre, enjoy an ice-cream or pub lunch in the town, relax on the beaches either side of the harbour, or venture further for a walk along the coastal paths. Regatta Week begins this Saturday, with events including gig races, sailing and live music. You can find the full programme at www.charlestownregatta.org.

Do pay us a visit if you’re visiting Charlestown – we’ll be open every day 10.30am-5.30pm through regatta week and beyond. Head upstairs for vintage goods at Sail Loft, visit Cscape for original art and photography or meet local artist-makers at the Craft Kiln.
