Nicky Bowler
Ceramics

My artwork is inspired by my Cornish upbringing and the love of my surroundings in which I live, the coastline, sea and beaches.

I make a mixture of air drying clay framed pictures, boxes and key holders, alongside earthenware ceramic vases, bowls, coasters, lamps and curves.

All pieces of work are hand built so every piece is unique and individual. They are then hand-painted with vibrant, cheerful colours.

John Fells
Woodturning

I am a woodturner and craftsman using predominantly native timber and sometimes reclaimed exotics to make a wide range of products and artistic forms.

When asked what sort of things do I make I tend to come to the conclusion of anything but large pieces of furniture. If there is something you would like that isn’t in the Craft Kiln or would like something more personalised feel free to get in touch and we can go from there.

One constant to all my work is a desire to maintain a good standard of finish with an eye for detail, and if the item has a use then the design and the feel of the piece during use is key.

Blue Freedom Glass
Fused glass

Fused Glass artwork, handmade in Cornwall. All of my glass works are individually designed and made by hand, either at my home in Mevagissey or just down the road at my office/studio in Pentewan.  Most of my designs are inspired by Cornwall in some way – its countryside and sea, its history, its mystical past and present, its people, customs and ever changing life.

The glass and copper used to create each piece is all cut by me and each piece is individually made – no staff, mass production or factory piskies are employed here!

Elysian Designs
Designer bags made from repurposed tack.

Within a small workshop in the Cornish countryside I hand-make leather goods. Many of my creations are inspired by and use preloved equestrian apparel. This leather has often had years of love and use, and now at the end of one life has a new life in my individually designed items. No two are the same.

I use a mixture of hand stitching and machine stitching techniques to ensure you get a quality produce, designed to last and look gorgeous at the same time!

I can create bespoke items to your specifications, using your tack, a selection of my own, or any other leather you fancy. Please get in touch with your ideas!

Marric Games
Cornish board game

I’m Colin, I run Marric Games (marricgames.com). What I’ve designed is a quality gift which celebrates the history, heritage and language of Cornwall. It’s wholly Cornish and is made from wholly recycled/ recyclable materials.

I’ve been designing for over ten years and have a couple online games on my site – if you play Shout Seven and come across The Professor, that’s me. When I design I keep this real simple and straightforward; just the board and pieces with easy to learn rules.

One day late last year I had an epiphany looking at the Cornish coat of arms and set about designing a game out of it – the upside down triangle of 15 circles you see everywhere – and came up with Besont. It’s been called a mix of connect 4 and noughts and crosses and comes with Cornish words and phrases to impress your friends, you can even play a game in Cornish.
