Since last September, we have been working non-stop on the renovation of The Old Workshop and the planning of three new businesses it will house, Cscape Art, Sail Loft Emporium and The Craft Kiln. We finally now see and feel the whole project coming together, ready for opening day next Saturday, March 23rd.
It’s really nice to see the space starting to fill up, and products appearing on display. We feel we have a good mix of quality crafts, antiques and collectables, which together with our gallery will make a visit to The Old Workshop an interesting and worthwhile experience for customers.
This a rare opportunity for individual businesses to be part of a unique project within a lovely old building in a prime position, and we are sure we can rely on everyone’s commitment to make it work.
We plan to have a get-together of all the stall and cabinet holders on Friday 22nd, from 2 p.m. This will give everyone a chance to get to know their colleagues and to discuss each other’s products. We think it is important to share information and to learn about the other businesses before we start to sell the products. It will also give us the opportunity to have some photographs taken.
Just to confirm that opening hours during busier periods will be 10.30 to 5.30.
We wish everyone every success with sales over the coming season, and hope that The Old Workshop continues to prosper as a visitor centre for years to come.
