Many thanks to everyone who had a hand in making the Celebrity Antiques Road Trip day a great success. It was good to welcome actors John Thomson and Hermione Norris to Charlestown, as well as the experts, Catherine Southon and Mark Stacey. John and Catherine had a good banter going, and John interlaced his search for the perfect auction item with amusing stories that kept us all entertained. This was all helped along nicely when Mick needed to contact a cabinet holder and she had to break off from repairing her lawn mower, which gave John plenty of inspiration for wisecracks’!
All were impressed with the venue and the team has talked about making Sail Loft Emporium a regular visit for the Road Trip when filming in Cornwall, which can all only help with promotion of the whole centre. A big thank you to John Wood for the photos. The Cornish Guardian have also run an article this week. We don’t have a date for the broadcast yet, but it is likely to be in the autumn. Hopefully one day there might be an Art and Crafts Road Trip so that The Craft Kiln and Cscape Art can also feature!!
